Thanks for this epic series. I'm blessed that my father is still with us. Took him to the isle of man tt races this year, 550 ish mile round trip. Considering he's 80 he rode very well. I got a bit short with him at times as you did with your father, i had to remind myself he is 80 years old and gets exhausted easily. Thank you for opening my eyes to how important it is to still have him here riding with us (me and my brother) best wishes from england 🇬🇧

Rode the old manali Leh Rd in 2001 on my trusty bullet 350. It was it's last haul after 9 months on the Rd.. Sold it Leh.. As me or the bike would make it back.. Above 4km life begins 🙏

Are there territorial disputes in that region? Is that why they sent the guide for that portion? I guess they're riding through Kashmir. Maybe there are problems with Muslims killing foreigners. I wonder why we don't see as many (English-speaking) trips through the Chinese-side of the Himalayas. Maybe there aren't as many roads/population.
